This item does exactly what it is supposed to do. It keeps the temperature of the water inside within about .3 degrees of the desired temperature and is large enough to fit a meal for around 6 people. The vacuum sealer works quite well although I am sure there are cheaper alternatives out there. The first time I tried using the sealer, it leaked but after that I just did the normal vacuum/seal process and then did another precautionary seal to double it up and it hasn't leaked since. Sous vide is a very easy process and it allows us to make meals with very little preparation time and let it cook while we are at work during the day. This is one of the more reasonably priced sous vide devices and it works perfectly as long as you aren't cooking to feed an army.
