They've gotten thrown out in a year or two because they're worth exactly what I paid for them. Should I ever actually need another pot, I won't look at anything but All-Clad cop-r core.

OMG! even with all the sharpening i did to my old knives, these cut through things like they were hot butter! i'm an enthusiast cook in the kitchen (by no means a chef) so these live in "my domain". my favorite knives to use are the santoku and nakiri. claimed as VG-1, my small paring knife's tip bent a good deal when it slipped onto my granite countertop (ugh). still, i enjoy the balance, look, and feel of these knives. don't let them sit in water for a long time, they'll rust. AVOID dishwasher so as not to void the warranty. hand wash and dry immediately for longer life...and looks!

After getting my new Electrolux induction stove I have tried and returned Elo, Calphalon, Cuisinart. In all cases the model set I chose was the most top of that lines "Induction Ready" offerings. In every case the stainless steel must have been paper thin because it took between three and four full minutes to boil my "Standard" two cups of cold water. That is actually longer than my previous Jenn Air stove took so they were all returned.

When these CTX Pans arrived the first thing I did was run the two cup boil test. I was astonished to see a full rolling boil in one minute flat. Then I cooked something saucy. Within four minutes on the five setting the pan was showing little simmer bubbles spread so evenly over the entire pan.

I have now used these pans for a week. They are every bit as incredible as my new induction stove. My only disappointment is that the two saucepans are only 3/4 quart apart. One should be much smaller and the other much larger IMO.

I have looked for a double burner griddle for a long time. I researched many of the other brands, Le Creuset, All Clad, Caphalon to name a few. I needed one to work on my glass top electric bridge element. I took a chance on this one, although very expensive, I doubt I will be throwing it out any time soon. I cooked for a crowd at Christmas and made, bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausage, grill cheese, paninis and more. Loved it. Only used a medium to med high temp. Cooked great, cleaned up great. Did not warp and stayed very flat. I even used it as a cookie sheet and baked scones, sausage balls, cookies...I dont always go for the most expensive stuff, but this is worth the money. Perhaps if you have a gas stove you could use another brand, but for those with smooth glass top electric with a bridge element, this is the one.
Oh btw, I did not see any black stuff when I washed. Wash by hand with soapy warm water. No complaints about clean up. And didnt really need too much effort...

I first got this set about 3 years ago and never regret having bought it. It gets used a lot more than my other cookware like Le Creuset, All Clad(I think I'll give this stuff away) that I own.

It heat very evenly and is very easy to clean. Most of the time I just wash it by hand and unless I'm too tired and than I just throw it in the dishwasher.

I almost never have any problems with food sticking and if it does I have never had a problems cleaning it.

Since I purchased this set I've also bought the Saute Pan, Chef's Pan and 11" Skillet which are very functional and beautiful.

I have also bought a set for my daughter who also loves it.

I have looked for the right pans to go with our new Bosch induction cooktop and I think these are them finally, at least about the best out there so far. I have tried over eight kinds, brands and manufacturers and these are really nice. I thought I would let others know what all my searching gave me in information so maybe they don't have to work at it so hard. When cooking with Induction, you need a flat bottom that is magnetized and encapsulated in Stainless Steel. (I do have cast iron but don't ever use them for acidic sauces etc. and they hold heat so much it is hard to simmer when you want to and they are so heavy and I wanted to be able to put pans in the dishwasher if I wanted).

Some that are also disk bases are sharp edged and not as finished as nicely but are made for restaurants. I care about not scratching my cooktop with that sharp edges and didn't see the quality that are in the Berndes for not any more money for more quality.
